Wine Tastings the Back Roads in the Sierra Foothills

We went to 4 tasting rooms in Murphys, California today, started at Tanner Vineyards, we enjoyed the company of 2 sweet old ladies who were the Tanner's great grandmother and great great aunt..... enjoyed the great great wines too. Our favorites were the red wine blend Melange de Mere - cab sauv, syrah & petit verdot, I think its available on vino shipper.
Next we walked down Main street to Millaire Winery tasting room. Enjoyed the company of the owners, Bob and Janna and as my palate reminesced about their zinfandel from Ghirardelli Vineyards.
More strollings and we went to Twisted Oak Winery tasting toom, ran into 2 gals we had just met at Tanner's, bringing the oh so small wine tasting universe together! Great Verdelho.... more comments later
