I think I will need to add this quote to all correspondence with the State legislators now. I did not know about this quote until my recent trip to DC to take in the US history. How much foresight he had, no one predicted the internet then, but they knew things would change

Also the quote recently from Rocky Wirtz, president of Wirtz Beverage Group "As long as it [direct shipping] goes through a legal mean and you have a way to properly monitor it, that's fine." - hey he must have seen how VinoShipper.com works.

continued ....."The three tier system is important because if a product goes out there we know where it goes, who has it and there's recall. You don't have products being shipped across state lines unlike Europe. Illinois is about the size of France in terms of volume. With the three tier system, you can properly monitor taxation, price and what they do. Social responsibility is very important." - well the great news is we do not need the three tier system to know or monitor where the wine went and by the way, once the retailer sells the wine, they have no idea where it went - so that is a misnomer. Sales via the internet you know exactly where it went.
