I never realized the choice – proves something is wrong with the current structure!
It goes to show; even when you think that you have a wide view on matters the internet proves you wrong. Since launching the VinoShipper site I have been amazed at a number of things:
1. The regional view points on wines – both from the wine lovers side and the winemakers standpoint – I think this is what makes wine such an interesting topic – nobody is “right”, influential yes, right – No.
2. There really are wines from every State, we carry wines from only seventeen states currently but we keep adding more.
3. The reaction from wine lovers when they hear there really are wines from Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan etc. is shall we say “biased”, unless of course you are from those states. Funny thing, some of these wineries have been around a very long time.
4. I have been amazed at the “strange” collection of fruit wines. Now I am not against fruit wines, I had just never heard about them before. Is it wine or not I will not judge, but some of them sound awesome I have to say and will be out there trying some over the coming months - life for me is about getting to the dessert and some of these "wines" described with dessert, over dessert or just for sipping sound fun.
5. There is more of a trade in juice across the country than I was aware of, I also feel I need to experiment by comparing Oregon wines made by local Oregon wineries to Oregon wines made by a North Carolina winery.
Lots of question and lots of learning has already happened for me and will continue I am sure. Thanks for reading and I hope you share your observations on these topics.

As a data point we have 594 wines from 152 wineries in 17 States at this time - now that is a wide collection - check them out.
